Studio Rendering Bug on School Macs

One of my teachers allowed me to download Roblox Studio on a few of the school macs and it has worked great for a while. A while ago on the one I used the most studio’s rendering screen has slowed down significantly. The best I can describe it is as “seconds per frame”. Once any place loads the screen starts out entirely dark grey, and a few seconds later two frames pass showing dynamic lighting taking effect revealing the empty base plate, and then it freezes. There have been a few updates before the bug started occurring. There is a filter that needs to be bypassed, and the roblox main site is only half blocked (many things do not work such as logging in and out) when it is not bypassed. Could there be an issue with the updating with a site being blocked? What sites or domains are being accessed when studio updates? Here are some of the specs (don’t know my way around macs very well so this is all I could get):

processor - 2.66 ghz intel core 2 duo
memory - 4 gb 1067 mhz ddr3
graphics - nvidia geforce 4900 256 mb
software - os x 10.8.4

Are there any known solutions to this type of bug at all?

Roblox Studio needs a connection to the Roblox domain. If it’s partially blocked, as you say, we can’t really guarantee stable behavior because we don’t know what is allowed to load and what isn’t.

Okay, thanks. Can I have a list of what needs to be accessed in order for it to work please?

Essentially… *.roblox.com

You can blacklist the forums and other webpages (eg /home, /Forum/, /develop, etc)
