I wanted to upload a picture of a shark as my avatar because sharks are freakin’ awesome, but I uploaded it as a weird aspect ratio so I went back and cropped it to a square and tried to upload the newest version, but I’m still seeing the first version on the site. Is there a minimum time between changing your avatar or what?
I had this issue. Remove the old avatar from your profile, so you have the default one. Then upload the new one. That’s how I fixed it.
Yeah it’s a fairly common standard-feature forum glitch.
Apparently it fixed itself over time. Weird.
More than likely it was either the server caching the image or your client caching the image.
I’m not sure which one.
